Coming Home

We're home! Our 3 1/2 days in the hospital felt like several weeks, and we're all happy to be back. It's amazing how much easier life is at home.

Here's a good indication of how much sleep we got over the last 3 days. All I could think about were all our friends telling us to "get your sleep now" when we told them we were pregnant. Lucy is really getting the hang of breastfeeding. In this picture I've drawn burp duty so that our little girl won't puke all over her going-home outfit. Don't worry, she did anyway.

Here's Mommy putting on Lucy's clothes for the ride home. It's obvious in this picture how much Lucy loves getting dressed!

Here are my girls all ready for the ride home. Nana Kay gave us this really cute outfit.

Apparently some time between when we were admitted and when we left, the hospital found their missing "P". Lucy slept the whole ride home, which means we'll probably have a few late-night drives around town to calm her down.

We owe a great thanks to all who visited, called and sent us well wishes while we were in the hospital. I apologize that we weren't more responsive to e-mails and phone calls. We had our hands pretty full taking care of Lucy and Jenny, and we want you to know that we all are very thankful to have such wonderful and supportive friends and family.

Wow you two look tired! Lucy is so tiny and so cute!

I'm glad the hospital found their "P." Who names a tower "urple?"

Just pointing out the obvious, you two look EXHAUSTED! I know everyone on here understands what a few days of sleep deprivation is like so you have my total sympathy! I hope things settle down for you when you all can just relax in your own home and comfy beds. She is such a cutie, can't wait to cuddle with her. Love you both, keep up the good work, mommy and daddy!
