Photos of the big day!

I'll keep it brief because I have to get this done before Lucy wakes up...

Here's Jenny arriving at the Urple Tower at Kennestone. We didn't get much sleep the night before, which we later learned was a big mistake!

Here's the excellent nursing staff prepping Jenny for the c-section. Everyone here was pretty awesome, and all were excited that we didn't know the gender of the baby. They say they don't get that very often anymore. We were the first procedure of the day, so we got lots of attention.

Here we are during the procedure. My big butt wouldn't fit into the standard issue paper scrubs they give the staff, so I got to wear the uber-comfortable hospital issue gear. All workplaces should have such comfortable dress codes. Jenny was a champ, and she did such a good job through the procedure!

Here's the first good shot of Lucy. The operating room staff let me announce the gender of the baby. It was one of the biggest rushes of my life to tell my wonderful wife that she was mother to a little girl! Having known the date of the birth, it was awesome having such a beautiful surprise waiting for us in the OR.

Since the cord cutting takes place in the sterile field, they let me "trim" the cord for the cameras. Dang, I look so hot in scrubs I should have been a doctor.

Mommy and Lucy in recovery. Lucy was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for most of the day, providing many thrilling moments with Mommy, Daddy and our many visitors.

Here's a great shot of the three of us with Dr. Phillips, our OB. We think he's the bee's knees and we are thrilled that he could deliver our baby!

I'll post more pictures of our little girl at my next opportunity. I know I might be biased, but I think she's the most beautiful little girl I've ever seen. We love you all!
