New pictures, fresh off the GE Voluson 730

What an exciting visit! Jenny and I got to see the baby today, and he didn't disappoint! Peanut was all over the place, swinging his arms and kicking his legs. We got a video of the entire ultrasound, so as soon as I can convert the VHS tape to DVD to internet video, I'll post it here.

Here's the little one, looking from above. You can see his two little arms up against his body. The big black circle is his brain (very impressive), and the two smaller black circles in front are his eyes. You can see two more shots from this angle here and here.

Here's another shot of the baby from the side. You can just make out 5 little fingers in front of his head.

Here's a leetle teensy foot (you can see it right next to the big letters that say "foot"). The baby looks great! He's got two kidneys (which our ultrasound tech could make out, but I was lost), a four chamber heart and good features all around. I wish we'd gotten a picture of the spine because it looked pretty cool, but I guess it's not very cute and most parents don't ask for it.

I'm still stunned by how much Peanut was moving around in there. Jenny said she couldn't feel a thing, but I think that that's not going to last long!

Woo hoo! What a day!

Hey Peanut is a cutie! I wonder where those good looks come from. I love the foot picture. So sweet.

Very cool pictures. I love feet pictures b/c they're so tiny! Just like the precious feet pin (go figure).

Just to say NYAH NYAH one more time, our ultrasound tech gave us free 4-D images of our little peanut (who is not so little at 3 lbs, 11 oz). Matt should have them up on our site later.

As ex-officio grandparents (Will and Ken are fraternity brothers), all we can say is CONGRATULATIONS on the soon to be new Conway. The world certainly needs more Conways. Seriously, "he" looks like a real cutie already. This is such an exciting time for both of you. Please let us know about baby showers, who knows, we might even be in town for one! All the best from the left coast Ahrens, CarmEd.
