Hittin' a Few Milestones
We've been pretty slammed over here, so here's our attempt to get you regulars updated...
Lucy has hit several milestones over the past month and a half. On Easter, Lucy got her first taste of solid foods.
She took to solids pretty quickly, which is not surprising. She's never had problems eating, just keeping it down. Now that she's a pro, she's learned to sit up at the table to eat dinner with Mommy and Daddy.
More importantly, Lucy learned to roll over! She's been flirting with this developmental milestone for several weeks now. Before she mastered the art of flinging her melon around, she'd just lay on her belly and "skydive," as seen below.
It was thrilling to get that phone call at work that she'd rolled over from front to back! To make matters even more exciting, I got a similar call the next day that she'd done the same trick in reverse.
Jenny missed the first few rolls with the camera, but with both of us in the house we managed to get the fifth try on film! Her form is more drunken barfly than ballerina, but a roll is a roll.
With several weeks under her diaper, Lucy's has gained confidence with her rolling ability. It's lots of fun when I come home and play, but it's not so much fun when you're trying to slap a diaper on a half-naked wiggle worm!
We've got lots more to cover, but that's enough for this post. As a parting gift, you get a case of Rice-a-Roni and a cute shot of her in her Johnny Jump-Up (circa last week).

It's so funny trying to film these things. It's like you're torturing them for good film. And aren't you glad you have a digital camera? Much easier to delete a 30 second video that didn't work out than to have hours and hours of tape that are super boring.
She looks so cute! I can't wait to see her again.
